Tulum Wedding | Peter + Casie

A Barefoot Wedding in Tulum, Mexico

it's always such an honor to be invited into a wedding day . but when the wedding day includes a wedding weekend, and that weekend is in a destination such as Tulum, Mexico, you automatically get welcomed in as family . & this wedding was no different .

my sweet friend Peyton joined me to assist, and we were both welcomed with open arms the moment we landed . joining them at their epic rehearsal dinner at Hartwood (the most insane food menu), taking part in the family style dinner, meeting + hearing decade old intimate stories from their families toasts - we just immediately felt a part of Peter + Casie's family + wedding weekend.

-

a gloomy, rainy, peaceful morning at Sanara Resort in Tulum, Mexico -- ending with an evening of clear skies, tequila encouraged dancing, the biggest smiles, and Peter + Casie happily married as husband + wife .

this destination wedding was one for the books . Casie has the most insane style, carefully curated + aesthetically beautiful . & luckily for us all, she found a wedding planner + stylist to match her vision & exceed all expectations - Diana Romo . you'll see as you scroll through the reception + cocktail hour details how much attention they paid to detail - simply matchless . i love a well thought out table design!

we had the best time being a part of this sweet beachside wedding in Tulum . Peter + Casie, you two are incredible & your love is inspiring .

enjoy xx

Aaron + Katie

long distance relationships are not for the faint of heart . they’re not easy, and not for two people who are unsure about each other or not in it for the long haul . it requires infinite love, trust, understanding, patience, commitment .  it takes selflessness and intentional pursuit . it requires you to map out communication because you’re in a different time zone than they are .

aaron + katie, against their personal views + wishes, just couldn’t help but take the plunge and date long distance . for 2 years they worked at it, until they just couldn’t anymore . the distance is a weary road . it wore them down and out and they called it quits .

luckily their love + devotion + passion + obsession with each other was still there and a few months later, on Thanksgiving day, Katie flew to see him in Seattle . It was there in the airport he greeted her … with a ring . & now they’ll never be apart <3

//

these two are something else . insanely good looking + stylish (you’ll see with their details + reception styling) . incredibly gracious + kind (the most devoted friends who surround them are evidence of this , including the most fun bridesmaids pics ever) . hilarious, charismatic, and ridiculous fun to be around (chest bumps, champagne chugging, butt grabbing, face licking, all things pure joy) .

a + k, thanks so much for having us and letting us be a part of your cool + inspirational lives . love you guys .

WEDDING IN SWEDEN

Jon + Klara | Sweden Wedding

A pretty girl from Sweden met a stylish boy from Oklahoma through a crazy chain of events and before long, fell in love . 4900 miles apart, 7 hours time difference . It didn't take long for Jon to decide to make the move to Malmö himself, and not long after that, they were engaged . They just knew .

So last summer, we packed up and headed to Malmö with some friends, to celebrate these two becoming one . It was a night in June, when the sun didn't set until 10pm, and rose only 6 hours later at 4am . The days were long and we never knew what time it was . But it didn't matter . We ate and drank and danced and laughed -- all on repeat for days and days . The Swedes know how to throw a party .

Their day went smoothly and slow, her friends helping her get ready in her & Jon's home, and Jon getting ready with his friends and family who had flown in to celebrate . Klara's good friend custom made her dress, and her shoes were from & Other Stories . and that's all she needed . I love her simplistic style + ways about her . After the beautiful wedding in an old church in the south of Sweden, the reception followed at Holmanäs Gärd, which was beautiful and matched the style + aesthetics of the day perfectly . Toast after toast was given, lots of kisses for the bride (per Swedish tradition), dancing and wine and worlds colliding over conversations held till morning .

Jon + Klara, you have amazing people who surround you . & it's because you yourselves are amazing . We love you . & hey, congrats on that baby due any day now! <3
